Hi !
Thank you for the warm welcome!
My favorite supplies shop in Athens is Kangaroo, which is located in the historical center of the city, at Evaggelistrias str.22, tel.210-3234939. Sofie Vamvaka is the owner of the shop, and she has a big variety of knitting, felting and other crafting supplies. She is now working on her shop's website.

Thank you, this seems like a great place :) And thank you for your complement on my Kitty bag.
The Brooklyn Flea is a cool place. The {NewNew} Etsy Street team rotate every sunday there. Personally I don't think it's a good fit for the things I sell but a few of my buddies from the {NewNew} have done very well.

Mainly I shop at Goodwill and the DAV Thrift Shop or yard sales! I just mentioned at the Recycle group that I have friends that bring all the things they were going to donate directly to me! When I worked in the next town over, Manhattan (the Little Apple!), there were several thrift shops run by churches that had great finds, just had to be there at the right time...I think it's a Karma thing, sometimes I'm amazed at what I find and it's like something just told me to go to that certain shop over my lunch hour!
