I shop the abundant thrift stores and estate sales. Lucky us, we get garage sales year round here. I find so many things at these places that are perfect for supplies. Kathy H. Lutz,FL

Kathy - yes we have Goodwill stores here in Louisiana that are great. I think what I have always liked about going to thrift stores besides being eco-friendly, is the thrill of finding treasures. You never know what you are going to find, so it is an exciting adventure.

Hi, Yes I have a favorite thrift store. It's Goodwill in Land O' Lakes, FL. It's a nice and clean store with used stuff and even new stuff that was donated to them by department stores. Most of the time I buy the used stuff. My best thing I have gotten from this Goodwill for crafting is a paper scrapbooking cutter for only .75cents. It works great for cutting papers a certain size. I also like getting vintage books sometimes there. I get them 2for $3 hardback. Some days they have them even cheaper.
Today I am working on some die cut and embossed die cuts that are made with a vintage 1930 hardback book. It's falling apart but the pages are great for making embellishments. I also have another book that is 1911 that I am going to alter art it for myself. I probably am not going to sell that one. I just want to make one for myself. But tons of other things I am going to sell.
There is a site also that I find out about book sales. http://www.booksalefinder.com/
I signed up for it and it emails me when there is a used book sales near me.

Kathy - great to have you here. We love garage sales too. In Louisiana, we grew up going to them. It is so fascinating what you can find. Do you have a favorite thrift store?
