I am seeking submissions from fiber artists around the world to create a collaborative tide pool made up of textile stones, kelp, anemone, barnacles, octopi, crabs, shells and other related flora and fauna. Inspired by vintage fabric I received in an exchange with another fiber artist. The fabric was cut into strips and spun in along with carded wool and silk, novelty yarn bits and felted peices. I plied with vintage pink thread and glass beads.
This yarn was made from recycled fabric scraps from a local quilt shop. The owner saves the scraps for me and I in turn shred them into strips and spin them into yarn.Deb
